Application Procedure and Policies

Applicants may initially submit either a letter of inquiry or a full proposal. Grants commonly fall into the $25,000 to $40,000 range.

Grant Application Procedures

	One or two page summary of the proposal for which support is requested.
	Project and organizational line item budget(s)
	Total amount of funding needed for the project.
	Amount requested from the Wallace Genetic Foundation.
	Anticipated duration of project.
	Other sources of support, detailing amounts secured and requested for the project and the organization.
	Recent financial statement.
	IRS letter certifying tax exempt status.
	List of Board of Directors and officers.

Application Policies

	No grants to individuals
	No scholarships
	No endowments
	No multiyear commitments
	Proposals received after November 1 may not be reviewed until January of the following year

All letters of inquiry and proposals should be submitted in hard copy. Faxed or E-mailed proposals will not be accepted.
